Notes

Burke traces Leawood back through Elizabeth Shilston, heiress of Bridestowe, who married Sir Pierce Courtenay of Ugbrooke. Later a Calmady married a Courtenay co-heiress and Leawood passed to the Calmadys of Langdon, then to the Hamlyns. The Courtenays therefore appear again as an earlier owner of the land.
