The archaeological remains here sit at the base of White Hill, also known as Big Whit Hill, near Belstone above Taw Marsh. This ancient settlement forms part of the same landscape as the larger Cosdon Hill, with White Hill and Little Hound Tor rising prominently in the immediate landscape. The location is notably isolated and striking, even by Dartmoor standards.
