West Country Melodeon
1975
Recorded at South Tawton in July 1975, this is Bob Cann's solo album of the family tunes passed down through generations of Dartmoor melodeon players: hornpipes, jigs and waltzes played for barn dances, harvest suppers and step-dancing competitions. Two of the tunes, The Kester Rocky Waltz and Ford Farm Reel, are Bob's own compositions, named after farms where he worked as a manager.
