Todd Gray

Dr Todd Gray is a historian of Devon. He was born in New England and came to England as a schoolboy in the 1970s, studied at the University of London and then at the University of Exeter, where he is a Research Fellow. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, received an MBE in 2014 for local studies, and was given the Freedom of the City of Exeter in 2018.

He has published 48 titles, five of them named Devon Book of the Year, many through his own Mint Press, and has been chairman and president of the Devonshire Association. His Dartmoor titles include Dartmoor Engraved (2001), a collection of topographical prints of the moor, and Victorian Stories 'Round a Dartmoor Hearth (2001), a reprint of Victorian Christmas tales.

His publisher's biography says he has "devoted his working career to the study of Devon's history": About Todd Gray (Stevens Books).
