The Pig and Whistle

The Pig & Whistle is a traditional Devon pub welcoming guests since the late 1700s, with log burners and a relaxed atmosphere. Located just 5 minutes from Totnes and 10 minutes from Newton Abbot, it's run by Donna and Philip McCann, both South Devon born and raised. The kitchen cooks to order using locally sourced ingredients, earning a strong reputation for food quality.

The bar stocks real ales from local breweries including Dartmoor, Salcombe, South Hams and Otter, alongside ciders and guest ales from regional micro brewers. There's a carefully chosen wine selection from Regency Wines of Exeter and a notable gin and spirit collection supporting local distillers. Open daily with food service through lunch and early evening.
