On walking routes: Moretonhampstead North Bovey Circular
Pound Rock sits at the entrance to North Bovey from the north on a green triangle. It is a large, flat slab of granite, reaching little more than a metre in height on its west side. The name comes from its historical use as a place to impound stray animals. A finger post marks the spot, and it is accessible to the public.
