Pixieland

Pixieland was established in 1947 when many of the Moorland Pixies decided to settle with us.  We are nestled in the most beautiful Hamlet of Dartmeet, in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. We are a family run business and the home of Dartmoor's most famous gift shop.  Our garden is still free for visitors to wander around in and to meet and have their photos taken with some of the many Pixies living with us.  In the winter months with nobody to greet, the Pixies go out onto the Moor, helping the local farmers by tending the Moorland sheep and ensuring no harm befalls them in the icy cold.

Although best known for our hand made on the premises gnomes and other garden ornaments; as ours is a seasonal business, in the 1960s we started selling local luxury sheepskin products such as rugs, moccasins, gloves, hats and car accessories and have continued to sell these two main product offerings to this day.
