Manga Hill

Devon

Manga Hill is a quiet granite tor on Dartmoor's central plateau, standing at 500 metres above sea level. Its summit offers the characteristic wide views across open moorland that define this landscape, with the tor itself a modest pile of weathered granite blocks typical of the moor's high ground.

The approach is across typical Dartmoor terrain of heather, grass and bog. There are no dramatic drops or scrambles here, just the straightforward walking that makes the moor accessible. In its setting among the sprawling plateau, Manga Hill feels like the moor itself rather than a destination apart.
