Beachwood Bakery

Beachwood Bakery is a neighbourhood bakery established in 2020, recognised by the Financial Times as one of the world's 50 greatest food stores. Everything is made from scratch using organic, stoneground flour from the UK and seasonal local ingredients—from village sourdough and focaccia to cinnamon buns, cakes and savoury options like their signature samosa and aged cheddar sandwiches.

The bakery operates Thursday to Saturday with very limited seating, though most items are available to take away. They don't take pre-orders, but you can phone in the morning to have items put aside for later pickup. It's the kind of place that rewards a casual drop-in during a Dartmoor visit or local trip.
