Barn Approximately 3 Metres North of Yeo Farmhouse

Devon

This barn, positioned approximately three metres north of Yeo Farmhouse, is a Grade II* listed building and a tangible record of Dartmoor's agricultural past. The structure's age and construction mark it as an important survival, probably dating to the medieval or early post-medieval period when such farm buildings were essential to upland farming life.

Today the barn remains a landscape feature near Yeo, a modest reminder of how scattered farmsteads worked the Dartmoor fringes. It stands as evidence of the long continuity of pastoral and mixed farming in this area, and of the building traditions that sustained rural communities on the moor and its margins over centuries.
