Ruby Bateman is a visual artist working from her home studio in the South West Countryside.

Ruby’s practice is deeply heartfelt; creating from a place of sincerity and only selecting materials that are natural and non-toxic for her paintings and drawings.

With a richly colourful and symbolic visual language, her work often visits the ‘underworld’ of loss, grief, implicit memory and somatic wisdom. Finding medicine in plants, nature, ritual and shared vulnerability.
