Geologists' Association

The Geologists' Association is a registered charity (no. 233199) "for all geologists, both professional and amateur". It was founded in 1858 and runs UK field meetings and overseas expeditions. It is based at Burlington House in London, so it sits outside the Dartmoor area, but it is listed because the Devonshire Association names it among the bodies it works with and because Dartmoor's granite is a standing subject for geologists.
