Devon Wildlife Trust

For 60 years, Devon Wildlife Trust has been at the forefront of protecting wildlife and the wild places that make Devon so special. It believes, passionately, that a better world is one where nature and people thrive together. It is the only Devon focused charity that exists to protect all wildlife in Devon, on land and at sea.

The Trust has a vision for a county where wildlife can flourish in a connected landscape. Its work ranges from nature reserves and landowner advice to learning programmes, community projects and volunteering.

On Dartmoor

Devon Wildlife Trust leads the Two Moors Pine Marten Project, a partnership of conservation organisations. Following two successful translocations, pine martens are once again living wild on Dartmoor and Exmoor for the first time in more than 150 years.

The Trust also runs guided walks, talks, volunteering days and online events across the county, several of them about Dartmoor. Current dates are listed in What’s On.
