Orchestra Mambo International

“The finest Latin orchestra in the UK just now.” Craig Charles

Orchestra Mambo International is a UK‐based mambo, cha cha, salsa dura and Afro‐Cuban jazz orchestra founded in 2022 by DJ Lubi and trombonist/bandleader Jonny Enright.

What began as a one‐off concert in the north of England quickly turned into something much bigger, as the chemistry of the band and the response from audiences made it clear that this music had a life of its own.

Since then, they’ve played across the UK, including Glastonbury Festival and a BBC 6 Music Maida Vale session, building a reputation for joyful, high‐energy performances rooted in the classic sounds of Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, the Fania All‐Stars, Ray Barretto and Johnny Pacheco.

Their debut album, ¡Apúntalo! — named after the catchphrase of veteran Venezuelan singer Carlos “Pachanga” Peña — is released in September 2026 and delivers eight original tunes moving through mambo, salsa dura, pachanga, son montuno, Puerto Rican bomba and Latin jazz, honouring tradition while bringing a fresh UK perspective.

The album is backed by a UK tour showcasing an international, cross‐generational line‐up and an explosive, party‐starting Latin sound.

Orchestra Mambo International is made for listeners who love classic salsa, Latin jazz and Afro‐Caribbean music played with heart, style and fire.
