Round cairn near White Hill

This round cairn forms part of a Bronze Age burial cemetery on the high moorland near White Hill. Such cairns typically mark the graves of individuals or small family groups, built by stacking stones into a mound. The White Hill site contains multiple cairns, testament to its importance as a burial place across several generations.

Today the cairn survives as a modest stone mound in the open moorland landscape.
