Ring cairn near White Hill

This ring cairn forms part of the White Hill round cairn cemetery, a Bronze Age burial landscape that sits high on Dartmoor's open moorland. Ring cairns are ritual or ceremonial monuments, typically smaller than burial cairns and often found grouped together as here, suggesting a place of repeated significance to ancient communities.

Today the site appears as a low circular stone feature on the windswept moor, part of the wider archaeological complex around White Hill.
