Cross NE of Nun's Cross

This is a scheduled monument cross of medieval origin, situated on the high ground northeast of the better-known Nun's Cross. Like other crosses scattered across Dartmoor, it likely served as a wayside marker for travellers crossing the moor, possibly associated with monastic routes or pack routes that linked communities on either side of the plateau.
Today the cross remains a modest but enduring feature of the moorland landscape, testament to centuries of human movement across Dartmoor.
