Two ring cairns near the Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar on Cox Tor

These two ring cairns sit on the open moor 250 metres north of the OS pillar on Cox Tor, marking the landscape as Bronze Age people knew it. Ring cairns, where stones form a circle rather than a solid mound, are characteristic of the later Bronze Age on Dartmoor and across the southwest.
