Two cairns

These two cairns form part of a cairnfield scattered across the northern slope of White Hill, likely built during the Bronze Age when Dartmoor's high moorland was more intensively settled and used. Cairnfields often mark burial or ceremonial sites, though some stones may have served practical purposes in Bronze Age land use and farming.

Today the cairns sit among rough moorland grass and heather, modest stony mounds that speak to the Moor's deep history.
