Stone hut circle 380m south-west of Devil's Bridge

This scheduled monument is the remains of a prehistoric hut circle, likely built during the Bronze Age when Dartmoor's upland plateau supported scattered farming communities. The stone foundation marks where a roundhouse once stood, its circular plan typical of Bronze Age domestic architecture across the moor.
Today the site is visible as a low stone ring in the moorland landscape, reached by walking southwest from Devil's Bridge. It forms part of a wider pattern of ancient settlement on Dartmoor, evidence of how people adapted to and lived on the high moor for thousands of years.
