Four hut circles near Sharpitor

This Scheduled Monument comprises four stone hut circles and an associated enclosure situated on high moorland north-east of Sharpitor summit. The structures date to the Bronze Age, when Dartmoor supported scattered pastoral communities living in small family groups. The stone foundations of their round dwellings remain visible today, typically sited where shelter and access to grazing could be found together.
