This scheduled monument consists of a stone-built enclosure with an associated hut circle, likely dating to the Bronze Age when Dartmoor's high ground supported scattered communities. The hut circle and its surrounding enclosure suggest a small domestic settlement, possibly used seasonally or year-round for stock management and subsistence farming.
Today the remains are modest but legible in the moorland landscape west of Sharpitor. Like many Bronze Age sites across Dartmoor, it speaks to a time when the moor was more densely inhabited and actively worked than in later periods. Visiting requires navigation of open moorland and rough ground.
