Drizzlecombe North Row is one of Dartmoor's more modest yet atmospheric stone alignments, a Bronze Age arrangement of granite slabs set in a line across the open moor. The stones are modest in height but speak volumes about the ritual and astronomical knowledge of the people who placed them here thousands of years ago.
Standing among the rocks, you're immersed in the raw moorland landscape that has barely changed since these stones were raised. The site rewards a quiet visit, no crowds, no facilities, just you and the moor. The surrounding terrain offers good walking, and on clearer days, the wider archaeology of the area reveals itself in stone circles and cairns scattered across the horizon.
